Sunday 29th September 9.30am – 7.30pm

London, E5

Coming just days after the Autumn equinox, a point of balance between the summer and winter solstices, we have created a special day filled with all of our favourite things to harness the energy of this seasonal transition. Designed to leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed we have curated a mix of activities designed to balance effort and ease.

Just as the best days do, we will start with a cup of tea and a chat! This will be followed by a short guided meditation which will flow into the first of our two yoga workshops. Iyengar yoga is a particularly accessible form of yoga, strongly focusing on alignment. You can expect lots of modifications, hands on adjustments and ‘aha!’ moments as you gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of each asana. After Sivasana, which will give us the chance to integrate everything we have felt and learnt throughout our practice, mentally, emotionally and physically, we will enjoy a healthy brunch bursting with seasonal flavours and freshness. After eating we will set off on one of our traditional Wild Yoga walks which will allow us to immerse ourselves in nature and get to know one another! On our return we will be treated to a Restorative yoga class, designed to help us recover our energy. A deeply relaxing practice, poses will mostly be supported and held for up to 5 minutes. In a truly grounded and relaxed state we will then enjoy a delicious and nourishing dinner together. To end the day and in order to make sure you return home fully blissed out we will complete the retreat with the practice of Yoga Nidra, this is a non-physical, deep class that only requires that you lie comfortably and listen.

If you, or someone you know is in need of some pampering and nourishment we hope to welcome you!

The full program will include:

 Guided meditation

Iyengar Yoga workshop (2hrs)

Walk in London’s wild (2.5hrs)

Restorative Yoga (1.5hrs)

Yoga Nidra

Our retreat is being held at Core Clapton in their bright studio abundant in natural light.

The Walk

From Core we will take a circular walk through Lea Valley immersing ourselves in nature as we follow parts of the river and explore the valley’s parks and wildlife.

The Yoga

Lucy Joslin will be teaching an Iyengar workshop in the morning followed by Rowan Isakaya’s Restorative practice in the afternoon. All classes are assisted meaning there will be lots of hands on adjustments to help deepen your understanding of poses and improve your practice.

Food will be catered by The little Cooking Pot, our fellow Stoke Newington neighbours who have travelled the world seeking inspiration and exotic flavours which they will draw on to make us a largely plant-based brunch and supper full of seasonal fresh goodness.
